Spring Poetry Contest

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SPRING POETRY CONTEST:

Write about about each month in Spring. A complete entry will consist of 4 (four) different poems: one about March, one poem about April, one poem about May, and one poem about June. The theme is the author's choice. Each poem must be equal to or less than a standard 8.5 x 11" page. If the poems are typed, please use a size 12-point font or bigger.

To Enter

The contest is open to original, unpublished poems, that are one page (or less) in length. Submit your typed or clearly-written poems to the library's upstairs Information Desk. You may also email your poems, saved as a Word or PDF document to Brianna at brianna.robertson@mcminnvilleoregon.gov. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the contest.

The poems will be read and judged anonymously by librarians. Winners' work might be published on the library's website, social media accounts, and/or in the Friends of the Libaray's newsletter.

Only one entry per person. All entries are final. Poems will not be returned. No entries will be accepted before March 20, 2017 or after June 20, 2017. Winners will be announced in early July 2017.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be chosen. Winners and prizes will be announced in July 2017.
