Teen Pre-Summer Reading begins!

TEEN PRE-SUMMER READING 2017 GUIDELINES AND PRIZES

Teen Pre-Summer Reading runs May 9 to June 10, 2017.

For ages 13 to 18 years old.

Teens are encouraged to get a jump start on Summer Reading by reading up to 400 pages in the late Spring. By doing so, teens can either take up to $10 off their library fines OR earn a pizza buck and movie pass to Third Street Pizza. If the teen still has fines after completing Pre-Summer Reading, he/she will have the chance to reduce overdue fines by an additional $10 during Teen Summer Reading, beginning June 21. Further, teens who read for at least 20 minutes a day, 4 times a week, for 3 out of the 5 weeks of Pre-Summer Reading will earn a free book. Contact the library for information about "reading away" fines and Pre-Summer Reading.
