Volunteer Orientation

Want to learn more about how you can help out at the Library? Come to a Volunteer Orientation!

Meet staff, take a tour of the Library, and find out about the jobs volunteers do: shelving, shelf reading and more. At the end of the Orientation, you have the opportunity to fill out an application. Filling out an application makes you part of our pool of volunteers. As volunteer positions open up, a staff member will contact you with a position that works with your schedule.

Can’t make it to Orientation?

If you can’t make it to Orientation or prefer to start volunteering sooner, please print and fill out the Volunteer Application and return it to the Library. Once she receives your application, Volunteer Coordinator Alice Darnton will contact you to give you additional paperwork and schedule a training session for a volunteer position that matches your availability.
