Adaptive Programs

Adaptive Programs are community based recreation programs and events specially designed for people with disabilities or for people who need a more adaptive/inclusive environment. Our programs are designed to provide extra support and encourage community building for those with disabilities.  Please read below about different activities & events, accommodation requests, and resources.

Adaptive Gymnastics

This class will explore different body movements and gymnastics fun in a safe and adaptive way. Prior to class we do ask that an accommodation request form is filled out so we can tailor activities to your child’s specific needs. Ages 6-12 

Adaptive Baseball/Softball

Practice sessions and games for youth softball/baseball players with disabilities.

Ages: 7-18

Adult Craft Group at the Makerspace

Make a craft project or explore your creative side. People of all abilities are welcome! This class is in partnership with MV Advancements.

Dancin', Movin', & Groovin'

Listen to music, try some new dance moves, and have fun with your friends! People of all abilities are welcome. This class is in partnership with MV Advancements.

Sensory friendly swim for children

This swim has been designed to create a welcoming environment while maintaining safety for children with light and noise sensitivity. An adult is required in the water with all children. Scholarships are available for this program.

1st and 3rd Saturdays, 3:30-4:30p

Adaptive Swim for Adults

This swim has been designed to create a welcoming environment for adults who experience a wide variety of disabilities that make it challenging to enjoy the pool. An adult assistant may be required in the water with the participant. Financial assistance is available for this program; see page 5 for more information.
