Airport
The McMinnville Municipal Airport is situated on a 650-acre site, three miles east of the City of McMinnville. The airport has two paved runways. The primary Runway (4/22) is a lighted 5,420' x 100' runway with an Instrument Landing System (ILS). The secondary runway (17/35) is an unlighted 4,340' x 70' runway. The departure end of Runway 22 has a 1,000-foot paved stopway, providing an extra level of safety for larger corporate jet aircraft.
The City has an Airport Administrator that is responsible for airport oversight, establishing all necessary rules and regulations for the conduct, management, and operation of the airport; charges, fees, and tolls for the use of the Airport; leasing and/or entering into contracts for the Airport; and development and oversight of the airport's annual budget. A contracted Airport Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the airport, publishing Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), and short term hangar rental agreements. The City has a seven-member Airport Commission whose members are appointed by the Mayor. The Airport Commission is an advisory board to the City Council, providing strategic recommendations to aid the Airport Administrator in their duties.
Aircraft rental, flight instruction, and aircraft maintenance services are available at the airport. Aviation fuel (100LL and Jet A) are available.
