Trail sign

McMinnville’s 100 acre sports field complex and community park features a dozen baseball/softball fields of various sizes and the same number of soccer fields to meet the recreational sports needs of both children and adults. Dancer Park also features both hard surface pathways (1 mile) and soft forested trails (1.2 miles) and a wetland for viewing nature. A skate park and playground equipment (for ages 6-12) are also located within the park. The Yamhill River runs along the park’s south and east boundaries. Portable restrooms are available. Smoking prohibited in all park areas except parking lots.  Leashed dogs  allowed on forest trails only (off-leash activity prohibited.) Park opened in 1985 and was named for McMinnville’s first City Manager who served from 1960-1986. Major park expansion occurred in 2003.

Annual Closure: The parking lots at Joe Dancer are closed. The athletic fields (soccer/baseball/softball) are closed. The walking trail that goes around the park is open. Parking is available at Kiwanis Park off of SE Brooks St.
