Exclusions

The Downtown Exclusion Zone (DEZ) ordinance was passed by the McMinnville City Council in August of 2016.  The purpose of the DEZ is to protect the commercial district from persons whose unlawful activities and/or criminal conduct pose a threat to the peace, dignity, safety and welfare of the public at large.  The ordinance does this by providing the ability to temporarily exclude certain repeat offenders from the DEZ.  Persons excluded from the DEZ have been placed on probation, and as part of their probation, are excluded from entering and remaining in the DEZ outside lawful exceptions for a period of time.  Click to see a map of the Downtown Exclusion Zone.
