in celebration of National Library Week.

Download the from from below or stop by the Children's Room to pick up an entry form.
Your finished bookmark should measure 2 3/4 inches wide by 8 inches long on the outside border.  Be sure that your drawing fits into this area.  Anything outside of the lines will be cut off. 

• The theme for this year is "A Universe of Stories".  Be sure that your drawing reflects this theme.

           (Judging will be based on how well you can do this. You do not have to write "A Universe of Stories" on your bookmark.)

• Double check your spelling! It counts. 
• Use sharp colors and strong lines to get your message across.
• Try a first draft to be sure all of your letters and images fit into the area. Or start with light pencil drawings, then add your colors. 
• Be original!  Your brain is a very powerful tool.  Be sure to use it to create something very special.
