Traffic Signal Pole Mounting, Conduit Work, Pedestrian Push Button Pole Mounting and Sidewalk Work:

NE 5th & Evans, NE 5th & Adams, NE 5th & Baker

October 2016 through February 2017

Crews continue to install electrical and control conduits for the planned traffic signals along the 5th Street corridor and are currently working at the intersection of 5th & Adams and on the NE corner of 5th & Baker. The conduits are being installed via trenchless directional drilling techniques, limiting the impacts on traffic. Intermittent, short term lane restrictions may be necessary at times between 9am-3pm.

Installation of traffic signal and pedestrian push button poles is underway at 5th & Evans and will continue into next week. Concrete sidewalk and handicap ramp work at this intersection has been delayed by weather, but will resume as soon as the weather allows. Intermittent, short term lane restrictions may be necessary at times between 9am-3pm. Traffic control signage and pedestrian detour routes will be in place and access to local businesses will be maintained at all times. Concrete sidewalk and ramp work will move to 5th & Adams when Evans is complete.
