During a recent death investigation, a McMinnville police officer discovered that the deceased was a veteran. In an effort to show respect, both to the deceased veteran and to the surviving family, this officer left the scene, purchased a national flag and returned to the residence. The flag was placed respectfully over the deceased veteran for the transport from the residence to the funeral home.
K9’s Axell and Tucker, their handlers and The McMinnville Police Department would like to thank the citizen group who organized and donated to the purchase of ballistic vests for our K9’s.
