COUNCIL SNAPSHOT FOR OCTOBER 24, 2023

The McMinnville City Council met on October 24, 2023 and took the following actions:

Approved Resolutions:

2023-60: Awarding the contract for the City Facility Janitorial Services contract. (Point of Contact: James Lofton, City Engineer)

2023-56: Authorizing the Mayor to sign grant award letters for the Business Assistance Grant Program recipients. (Point of Contact: Jody Christensen, Community Development Special Projects Manager)

2023-61: Adopting a budget amendment for fiscal year 2023-24 in the General Fund. (Point of Contact: Jennifer Cuellar, Finance Director)

2023-62: Adopting no rate increase for City Service Charge in calendar year 2024. (Point of Contact: Jennifer Cuellar, Finance Director)

In other business: 

Proclaimed  November 1st, 2023 as Extra Mile Day. 

Proclaimed  October 24th, 2023 as World Polio Day. 

Proclaimed October 24th, 2023 as McMinnville Industrial Promotions (MIP) Day. 

Council discussed the consideration of banning public drug consumption.
