NE Gateway Sanitary and Storm Sewer Replacement

RFP Schedule: October 31, 2025 – December 4, 2025

Contract Award: January 2026

The City is nearing completion of an update to the community’s Water Reclamation Facility Plan and Conveyance System Master Plan (master plans). These master plans identify capacity shortfalls in the sanitary sewer conveyance system. Thus, upsizing the existing 21-inch diameter pipelines to minimum 30-inch diameter pipelines is anticipated to meet estimated peak flows. The existing 48-inch diameter storm sewer is not capacity constrained but needs to be replaced/rehabilitated due to structural deficiencies. The NE Gateway sanitary sewer replacement is a high priority improvement project. The storm sewer replacement/rehabilitation is included in the scope of this project due to:

· multiple failure points along this pipeline;

· the opportunity to minimize neighborhood disruption, and;

· to take advantage of cost savings from concurrent construction.
