Library Computer Use

McMinnville Public Library has 18 public Internet PCs located upstairs near the information desk. Library computers feature:

  • Internet access
  • Microsoft Office software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Access to the library’s many digital subscriptions, like Consumer Reports or newspaper databases

Patrons may use a standard flash drives to download. Please bring your own flash drive. You may print from any library computer.

Due to high demand, patrons are limited to 120 minutes (2 hours) per day on library computers that offer Internet access. You may request additional time at the upstairs information desk and it will be granted on a case-by-case basis.

Technology assistance

Reference librarians at the upstairs information desk can help you with basic computer issues: creating and saving documents, printing, sending email, connecting to the library wi-fi, searching the web, and navigating the library’s website and catalog.

One-on-one Technology Help

Make an appointment with a librarian for a one hour session to get started with something new or for help with more in-depth technology questions. To book an appointment call 503-435-5562, email libref@mcminnvilleoregon.gov, or speak with us at the upstairs information desk.

Computers for children

We offer internet computers and iPads for children ages 12 and younger in the children’s room. Internet access is filtered. iPads are preloaded with apps and internet access is limited. Each child is allowed 60 minutes of screen time per day, extra time is permissible for homework.
