COUNCIL SNAPSHOT FOR JULY 08, 2025

The McMinnville City Council met on July 08, 2025 and took the following actions:

Approved Resolutions:

2025-36: Adopting limits for declaration of surplus personal property by staff under Chapter 2.21 of the McMinnville Municipal Code. (Point of Contact: David Ligtenberg, City Attorney)

2025-37: Authorizing an amendment to the City Manager’s employment agreement incorporating terms for separation from City employment. (Point of Contact: David Ligtenberg, City Attorney)

2025-38: Adopting a 2.1% CPI-based solid waste and recycling services rate increase per the franchise agreement with Recology of Western Oregon. (Point of Contact: Geoff Hunsaker, Public Works Director)

2025-39: Appointing a short-term Interim City Manager to steward City Manager functions from July 17, 2025, to the appointment of an Interim City Manager under Resolution 2025-31. (Point of Contact: David Ligtenberg, City Attorney)

In other business: 

Heard an annual presentation from Recology. 

Executive Sessions: 

City Council met in ONE Executive Sessions immediately following the Regular meeting:

PURSUANT TO ORS 192.660(2)(e): To deliberate with persons designtated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions.

• Individuals may participate online through the Zoom videoconferencing platform; please sign up prior to the meeting by emailing the City Recorder at CityRecorderTeam@mcminnvilleoregon.gov at 503-435-5702, as the chat function is not available when calling in Zoom; once your turn is up, we will announce your name and unmute your mic.  You will need to provide your First and Last name, Address, and contact information (email or phone) to the City Recorder to fill out a comment sheet on your behalf. You do not need to state your address for the record when called to speak. 
• Attend in person and fill out a public comment card
