COUNCIL SNAPSHOT FOR JANUARY 27, 2026

The McMinnville City Council met on January 27, 2026 and took the following actions:

Resolution 2026-04 did not pass and  was requested to come back at a future date: Resolution Authorizing the Interim City Manager to Release Air Easements Affecting Certain Properties Adjacent to Tice Park Along NW 25th Street (Point of Contact: David Ligtenberg, City Attorney)

Ordinances (SECOND READING SCHEDULED FOR 02/10):

Ordinance No. 5170:  Adopting as amendments to the November 2023 Housing Needs Analysis, the September 2024 Economic Opportunities Analysis, and the December 2025 Framework Plan. (Point of Contact: Heather Richards, Community Development Director)

Approved Resolutions:

2026-02: Resolution removing Councilor Dan Tucholsky as the City of McMinnville’s representative to the Yamhill Communications (YCOM) Executive Board (Point of Contact: Adam Garvin, Interim City Manager)

2026-03: Resolution appointing Police Chief Cord Wood as the City of McMinnville’s representative to the Yamhill Communications (YCOM) Executive Board (Point of Contact: Adam Garvin, Interim City Manager)

Approved Ordinances:

Ordinance No. 5169: Adopting the 2025 McMinnville Municipal Airport Master Plan as a supplemental document of the McMinnville Comprehensive Plan, and amending Volume I (Data and Background), Volume II (Goals and Policies), and Volume III (Title 17 of the McMinnville Municipal Code) of the McMinnville Comprehensive Plan (Docket G 2 – 25). (Point of Contact: John Paskell, Airport Manager)

• Fill out a physical public comment card found at McMinnville City Hall; any time up to 12:00 p.m. the day BEFORE the meeting, but not before 5:00 p.m. on the day the agenda is posted for the following week;
• Attend in person and fill out a public comment card.
