FLY FRIENDLY

The McMinnville Municipal Airport strives to be a good neighbor to the community and asks its pilots to do the same. The airport is bordered by homes on the North/Northwest side of HWY 18 and south of the airport, including the approach and departure to and from RWY 17/35. Please review the noise abatement procedures and "Fly Friendly" brochure below.

♦♦ The following noise abatement procedures are in effect at MMV ♦♦

► Runway 22 is the calm wind runway.

► Night time touch and go operations between 2200-0600(L) are strongly discouraged.

► When able, avoid continuous overflight (pattern work) of the nearby residential areas.

► No early turns. Fly runway heading until clear of residential areas.

► Overfly major roads and highways whenever possible.

► On descent, use a steep approach to keep noise close to the airport.

► On departure, climb out as quickly as safely possible before reaching residential areas.

► Helicopters avoid blade slap over noise sensitive areas when possible.
