**Please note we have an updated process for Special Event and Temporary Use Permits**

SPECIAL EVENT/TEMPORARY USE LOCAL GOVT RECOMMENDATION LETTER

OLCC permits can be obtained through the OLCC website.  Initial liquor license permits need to be completely filled out and submitted to the McMinnville Police Department for processing.  The process includes:

1. Locate and fill out the appropriate OLCC Permit Application from the Oregon.gov website here,
or
Special Event/Temporary license information found here***See below for important information on Special Event and Temporary Use Permits**

2. For Initial Liquor License applications, bring, mail or email the completed form to the McMinnville Police Department for processing.  Forms can be emailed to McMinnville Police Department or submitted to the McMinnville Police Department at 121 SW Adams Street McMinnville, OR 97128.

         a. Initial OLCC Permits will go through City Council, which meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Once the application is received and  processed it is sent to City Council to be placed on the consent agenda. Once it is approved and signed the application is returned to the police department and notification is provided to the applicant. This process can take up to 3 weeks to complete depending on when the application is  submitted. There is a $25 processing fee payable upon completion of the process. PAY HERE

      b. Special Event / Temporary Use Permits: The McMinnville Police Department no longer processes the local government recommendation form for these permit types.  Instead, we provide a blanket “No Recommendation/Neutral” letter that the applicant can provide to the OLCC.  This letter expires on December 31st on an annual basis.  Download a copy of the letter here.  There is no fee associated with this process.

**NOTE: Endorsement from the City of McMinnville DOES NOT complete the application process.**

3. Once you have the approved form, refer back to the links in step 1 for information and instructions on how to submit your application.
